The Rise of Six N. Five
Ezequiel Pini’s artistic journey began in his native Argentina, where he trained in graphic design before expanding the possibilities of digital art. The turning point came when Pini left his full-time job to pursue independent creative projects. The name “Six N. Five” represents 6:05 PM, the time Pini would finish his day job and begin working on his own design passion projects.
Today, Six N. Five is a globally-renowned studio specialising in high-end digital art, combining elements of contemporary design, photography, and computer-generated imagery. Early success came through collaborations with luxury brands like Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Microsoft. Pini’s ability to merge digital precision with poetic imagination earned him recognition in both the art and design worlds. A key collaboration that perhaps embodies Six N. Five’s success in both worlds is the partnership with Moco Museum in Barcelona.
Digital to Physical
In collaboration with Isern Serra, Ezequiel Pini designed the Moco Concept Store at Moco Museum Barcelona, a real-world translation of Six N. Five’s signature digital aesthetic.
The Concept Store reflects Pini’s minimalist, dreamlike style with curvilinear forms, soft pastel hues, and reflective surfaces. Designed to feel both futuristic and organic, the space serves as an immersive environment where art and design converge.
Previously, the collaboration between Moco Museum and Six N. Five began at Art Basel 2022 with the design of the bespoke NetJets Collectors Lounge. The idea was to create a relaxing and luxurious space that embodies Moco’s inclusive mission to inspire and empower people through art.
The Art of Minimalism and Surrealism
Six N. Five’s artistic language is defined by minimalist forms, geometric precision, and soft, muted color palettes. At Moco Museum Barcelona, visitors encounter The Circle (2022), one of the artist’s most masterful compositions, featuring the sun and moon as symbols of infinity, memory, and emotional balance. Furthermore, the celestial forms serve as metaphors for the cyclical nature of life and the passage of time, inviting viewers to contemplate the flow of time and creation of memories.
“The circle has been a recurring motif in my work for years. It represents care, calm, and the perfection we strive for but rarely attain. We are a circle, without boundaries, beginning or end.” – Ezequiel Pini
Philosophy
Ezequiel Pini’s artistic philosophy is rooted in the balance between precision and emotion. His work reflects an interest in consciousness and the human condition, using digital tools to evoke universal feelings of nostalgia, serenity, and curiosity.
Six N. Five’s creations are inspired by architecture, nature, and contemporary design, often referencing the visual language of mid-century modernism and Japanese minimalism, combining these influences with cutting-edge technology. The result is a body of work that feels both timeless and futuristic.
