Marcel Wanders is a Dutch Contemporary artist and designer known for his subversive and humorous designs that combine innovation with everyday objects. In the Moco Garden of Amsterdam, you can see Portrait, a democratic sculptural piece inspired by and for everyone. The sculpture by Marcel Wanders symbolizes new beginnings and represents our global community. It is a large-scale cork sculpture that requires your participation to make a wish and stick it to Portrait.

Next to that is Tempter, another magical sculpture that embraces the wild freedom of being a child. Fantastical in every way, this interactive artwork pushes you to imagine a time of kings, queens, and unicorns. Marcel Wanders reminds us that it’s important to keep playing at any and every stage in life! Playing makes you happy, improves brain function, and it stimulates creativity.

    I visited the museum for the second time. This time, it was richer in artworks, and the temporary exhibition by Robbie Williams really made a difference, raising strong awareness around the topic of mental health. It’s an exhibition that sparks a lot of reflection on current issues.
